Through this effort, the Center helps uphold First Amendment rights, promote government transparency and ensure reporters have the tools they need to serve the public effectively.
- These resources help journalists navigate complex issues related to access to public records, open meetings and press rights, while also offering training tailored to the evolving needs of today’s newsrooms, in partnership with experienced media law professionals. The Center also supports access to Pennsylvania’s statewide public notice website, which serves as a centralized, accessible resource for journalists and the public to review official notices and better understand government actions and community developments.
